To make code changes you will need Node.js and NPM. That said, it isn't too bad to make updates too and honestly it would need to be rewritten from the ground up in order to take full advantage of newer technology. If you want to deal lots of melee damage, Rogue and Warfare are good for that.
If you want to have a rather tanky toon, go for Nature and/or Defense. If you want to deal lots of damage early on, Earth and Dream are good for that. My favorite class is Hunting and Nature, but I guess it isn't something everyone would like. But yeah you barely started the game so it might be a bit boring to not have awesome skills to begin with. anything with Warfare (even Thane) can become able to attack multiple ennemies at once. To be fair, you haven't played them very far. What do you prefer to play? And what build would you recommend for a beginner, which is fun and satisfying to play early on? My other char is a melee Thane at lvl 10, but because I can only take on enemy at a time its also some kind of boring. wich ones have you tried out yet? And what level are they? Right now I am playing a Diviner at lvl 19 and I focussed on Ternion Attack, but because I am getting bored spamming Staff attacks only, I plan to unlock Distort Reality to have another skill and get more variety in gameplay.
